Thanks to BMW Cloud integration, it automatically synchronizes with the BMW Connected app. So you have everything in one place while you discover the most beautiful places in the world. With the BMW ConnectedRide Navigator, all tours and planning are always included. Planned routes and recordings can be synchronized with the BMW Motorrad app via the BMW ID. The 5.5-inch touch display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. Operation is intuitive via the multi-controller.

Note: Almost all BMW motorcycle models from model year 2014 with multicontroller and special equipment for navigation device preparation can use the ConnectedRide Use Navigator and operate it via the multicontroller. Excluded from this are the tourer models R 1200 RT, R 1250 RT, K 1600 GT, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 B and K 1600 Grand America. The variant VI 2021 must be used here.

It can withstand dust, severe shocks, freezing cold and extreme heat and can be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. It even received IP69 certification. The 5.5 inch touchscreen display offers optimal readability even in direct sunlight. TFT display and ConnectedRide Navigator work perfectly together. As soon as the navigator is connected, the telephone, navigation and media elements on the TFT display are grayed out.

Whether BMW ConnectedRide products or your smartphone: The ConnectedRide Navigator connects all devices and media applications in one device. For example, when the connection between the bike and the navigator is active, the navigation function, telephony and media are grayed out on the bike's TFT display and clearly visible on the display of the ConnectedRide navigator shown. And you can synchronize your route planning from the BMW Motorrad Connected App thanks to the BMW ID and < span style="white-space: nowrap;">BMW Motorrad Cloud integration easily with the ConnectedRide Navigator. With the navigation preparation available as an optional extra for new models or as a retrofit solution, the ConnectedRide Navigator also connects many older BMW motorcycles built from 2014 onwards with the roads of the world. The whole world in your grasp
While driving, you can use the functions of the ConnectedRide Operate Navigators easily and safely via the multicontroller. For example, to use your smartphone and make calls or listen to music via a streaming app, simply use your left thumb and move through the intuitive user interface. All other devices that are connected via Bluetooth can also have their volume controlled.

Software

The new ConnectedRide Navigator is a BMW in-house development and enables updates to be offered directly via the BMW Motorrad systems. Available updates are displayed automatically when an internet connection is active, for example via a mobile network or WiFi. BMW Motorcycle ConnectedRide

Operation and integration into the motorcycle:

• Easy and quick attachment of the ConnectedRide Navigator in the vehicle-specific holder (SA “Navigation preparation”)
• Maximum integration into the motorcycle through the connection of the ConnectedRide Navigator to the on-board network, which is only possible in conjunction with the special equipment “Navigation preparation”.
• Convenient operation via the multi-controller as well as data exchange between the motorcycle and navigator to use the “My Motorcycle” function. “My Motorcycle” is used, for example: B. status information of the motorcycle as well as tour information such as distance, speed or inclination is recorded.
• Backwards compatible: Almost all BMW Motorrad models with multi-controller (from around model year 2014) and special equipment for navigation device preparation can use the ConnectedRide Navigator and operate it via the multi-controller

Navigation

GPX data can be imported and exported via the BMW Connected app or via USB-C cable to the PC.

• Waypoints
  By using waypoint-based navigation, the ConnectedRide Navigator always leads to the next waypoint. How the next waypoints are reached can be defined in the routing criteria. If a defined waypoint is not to be passed, it can be actively skipped.
• Route points
  Route points are points that are mainly defined by planning tools to predefine the route in more detail. When an intermediate point is passed, the ConnectedRide Navigator continues to the next route point. Here it is not necessary to skip via points.
• Track
  A track is a series of many track points along a route. The route is only marked on the map without instructions. When you navigate with a track, you see the track on the map and your own position. As a driver, you can decide which path you want to take to follow the route. Tracks are primarily used to follow predefined trips (e.g. from online planning tools or a trip shared by another driver).
